You should probably look at an original one. The clasp is rather massive, these don't appear cheap. Of course it does remain rubber.

The rally version sucked then, sucks now. The original is very cool looking on any number of vintage or recent divers. I wonder if they got the rubber right. The originals were really comfortable and patterned in the back to channel off sweat and moisture. DiModell and Barton do similar backsides on ruberized leather straps- might be worth a shot if they are returnable.

Yep, and as it turns out, the same company who owns isophrane brought these back.
They're even vulcanized. And whatever the hell that is, it sounds like it must be great!
