This happens alot at invicta. Happens alot? Happens often. Kinda like it was done just as ordered. Jim, I think this is a better possible solution.

I am amazed at the reaction to this report. Clearly the talk of a few forums yesterday; we saw applause, acceptance, denial, anger, frantic behavior, complacency, threats, excuses..... people being banned. WOW!

As if any of these reactions will change the words on the paper?
After all that, it still reads the same and the findings did not change.
Truly bizarre times.

If I recall, it was'nt so much that people doubted you Geeknomo. It was more that the findings needed to be attested to in writing. You started the ball rolling and Slomo and Koi took it from there.

Koi, don't you know by now that is their MO? Lie, lie, lie and if confronted, deny, then lie some more. Never admit guilt. MD CS101

Every local TV station seems to have a consumer alert spot during their newscast. Once could send all the proof of "their" indiscretions and misrepresentations...maybe run a story? a lot of hungry reporters out there trying to make a name in the biz.

My absolute favorite quote from last year:

"Thre's no one lying to you when they're selling you a watch."
- Jim Skelton, trying to diffuse the diamond/crystal conundrum

Rule 1,493: Never photograph a watch on a wrist. On a lovely rock in a pond or a parapet, certainly - but never on a wrist.

So, what is the latest on this issue other than we all know they are a bunch of carney buskers?

A few weeks ago Shawn had a show where he sold the last of them. He mentioned the that it was the most discussed watch ever sold at shop. He was laughing. The vid is somewhere around here.

I thought I bump this up for our lurkers and to celebrate the beginning of an investigation by at least one State Attorneys office into the business practices not only of Invicta, but Valuevision and the practice of selling as new, returned merchandise.

Access to all of the .pdf files and photos related to several issues was given by me this morning in one swell swoop. We shall see where this goes but I expect it may take a few months since one question raised was if the State Attorney in Minn had been made aware of these practices.

This post becomes hilarious when you imagine Doc Brown from 'Back To The Future' saying it. Great Scott, Marty! :lol!:

At any rate, I like the dial. It rather reminds me of a starry night in the backwoods.

Ahh, to resurrect the great Invicta Sandstone Scandal. I have in my collection one of the most distinguished infamous Invicta watches. Not only is this one a genuine simulated standstone, but it is a Reserve watch with a Japanese Miyota automatic movement. Recall, Reserve watches are all hand made in Switzerland by only 10% of the best Invicta watchmakers.

Not only that, this watch was advertised on ShopNBC as an exclusive; none made available to any other outlet. The price, a very reasonable $700. This watch was sold from the Gilt shop two months later for $225. http://www.gilt.com On WG, the people who bought this exclusive were naturally very upset.

I picked this beauty up as a collector's item for even less money from some Ebay vendor. Sorta like owning an Edsel. This is a real piece of horological infamy.

Eat your hearts out, guys. Image

Watch collecting is a disastrous trap and I'm stuck. At least I always know what time it is.

@mosc, bumped the thread since Invicta responded sort of to my complaint. Ignored everything but the Swiss parts stuff which was not the meat of the complaint. Will post the response later this evening.
