So the thread is reopened?

2 questions:

1. Do you really think Eyal will answer this Sandstone debacle?

2. Even if proven 100% guilty, do you think he will actually admit to it?

answer to both: NFW

EDIT: My Bad, I see that Jaws pointed out that HSN staffs a Geologist and he posted a link totally unrelated to the issue. That clears things up for me.

Re-opened as there will be new info to be added.

Folks, I said it before, now I'll enforce it.... stop taking shots at each other and arguing. The next shot taken that violates the TOS, and the post gets pulled. Happens again, you get a short vacation.

Enough is enough.

Now while it is hard to argue with a random guy who pops open his watch and sets a match to his dial to prove his dial isn't a stone (huh??? I'm still trying to figure that one out), who obviously has the training to post about it and completely discredit an entire company, I offer this as a counter.............

HSN staffs a geologist, do you really think this slipped past them?

Fellow Geeks,
Some of the bickering is getting old to say the least. As Jim points out, taking shots at each other is simply not proper or civil. This is beginning to sound like our politicians defending their turf for their own personal reasons. We should be able to bring up a legitimate question about a concern or an issue, in this case whether sandstone is a natural element in the dial of a watch or an enhanced element and go through a process of discovery to find out the answer. There is no conspiracy on the part of Eyal, Lior, or any of the manufacturers to "pull one over on us". In marketing speak everyone takes liberties and in the whole scheme of things, if sandstone is a natural element on the dial or an enhanced element this is not a deal breaker for most of us. Marketing is a fact of business life and one that we should all realize. For the record, almost all the gemstones we see today are enhanced in some way for color or durability. Lets wait to see what the facts are before we treat each other with less respect than we deserve. After all, the brotherhood of the watch must live on and proper!

Prof, I completely agree. I think you meant to say live long and prosper. Kind of a Mr. Spock Vulcan thing.

I think all the Geeks and everyone else reading this should follow Jim's lead and visit HSN's website and TV shows often to verify that what you buy on ShopNBC is as advertised.

as far as putting a match to the dail, if jumbloat had any comprehension skills, would understand that it was to see if it was glass/plastic. Just cause you can read jumbloat does not mean you comprehend.

BTW jumbloat, did you ever contact the professor, what did he tell your dumbass or are you having someone translate it for you.

Seriosuly guys I don't know what the fuss is all about. Sandstone, Goldstone, or just plain glass with metal flake in it. I'm just happy to have Eyals dick in my ass and hand in my pocket once again for September. Thanks Eyal, please give me a reach around.

someone please buy a clue for NYCruza and tell him that Invicta subcontracts everything, not just some parts of a watch.
He is also stating that it must be the suppliers fault if it's not really sandstone, not Invicta's fault. I'll have to remember this mindset next time I'm getting my ass kicked by an OEM for having a defective product.
Wake up douchebag, and pull your head out of your ass.

Just posted by JS. Who threatened them directly??

Ok, perhaps I simply wasn't clear enough a few pages back...

Threats to myself, Michael, Eyal or Invicta will not be tolerated.

Threats of calling up a boycott will not be tolerated.

Bashing other members and continuing to fight will not be tolerated.

Not only will any of these offenses cause your post to be deleted, you will be banned. 10 day for the slightest infraction, permanent for a serious one.

I have been nice and VERY lenient throughout all of this because I want this topic to remain open so that actual info can be shared through it. You are now making this impossible after MULTIPLE warnings.

Mods and Admins will now be enforcing STRICTLY from here on out.

It only takes a few to ruin it for the rest of us....

The only post even close to a thread, AND IT IS NOT A THREAT might be this one - but it is not a threat at all, just a statement of fact?!

In fact maybe the STATE or FEDEAL authorities need to be called in to look at Invictas business practices. JUST A THOUGHT. Maybe not, if EYAL gets us the answers ASAP like tomorrow.

I hope the "Geeks" sniff around HSN some more; they sell watches, too:

Looks like you can get some Bulova and Casio watches at better prices than Shop... Do they have Val U Pays?

Seriously, who ever uses a direct-competitor's website to try and prove that they aren't screwing you? Ridiculous.

I wonder if they'll ban this guy, it seems like he carries respect:

Jim,
I appreciate very much that you reopened this thread, as there are many including myself whom wish to know the definitives regarding this matter.

Regarding the HSN information you presented on their Sandstone Pennant.
Was this presented to relate to us that the Sandstone in the pennants is the same type, as the watch dials, and was formed using the same methods?

If so, I honestly don't see how that changes anything about the watch dials, not being what they were advertised to be, which was nothing more than a cut, and polished slice from a larger piece of Sandstone.

I can only assume that you are trying to convey to us that the HSN pennant is not real Sandstone. And that if HSN is selling a man made substance as genuine natural Sandstone, then it's O.K. for Invicta to do the same.

I hope I'm wrong about the above impression I got from your post, because no matter how many companies sell things under false labels, it still does not make it right.

I welcome any comments, or clarifications if I misunderstood your post.

Thanks,
Ken..

I heard that as well. "Sandstone Material", lol the backpeddling has begun again.

TVDinner, it is getting a lot of attention because Invicta is famous for not answering anything directly, rather just leaving the fiascos hanging in the breeze. It doesn't matter to most Geeks because they are happy to just give their money to Lalo not knowing what the hell they are buying, just keeping the faith that he will lead them to the promise land of Horology.
