I wonder how Shop will react when the this response letter from DD makes it's way around the Net and their return rate goes through the roof? Laylo, Skelton and Turdling should be running for cover right about now I think. The 3 Stooges have a lynch mob coming at them

Not only did GTWG Close the new thread, he removed it from public consumption.
They at least left the Swiss/Swiss made thread remain open.

The only reason the other thread did not get covered up Bucks is because it was just speculation at first, nothing to worry about. It was not until the 3rd page the revelation happened. By then it was so hot there was no way they could just make it disappear.

The original thread has disappeared too, and a third thread has just been started with another letter from Dubois Dépraz:
Today, I Heard Directly From Dubois-Dupraz
Interesting that this should come to light today...

Last week I sent an e-mail to Invicta and Dubois-Dupraz to inquire whether my Elite Speedway (which was indexing 20 sec. early in chrono mode) needed to be adjusted. I just wanted to be sure it was faulty before sending it to Invicta Repairs.

Today, I received an e-mail back directly from Eric Metzger of Dubois-Dupraz (in French) which said, in part "we have never delivered Dubois Dépraz products to Invicta," and "we will be conducting research with our clients in order to check on this."

I have no doubt that this response is genuine and came from Dubois-Dupraz. Further, it is consistent with the other e-mail from D-D's Chris Becker which was posted in a previous thread.

But, before we jump to conclusions, we should wait for an explanation from Invicta. They certainly owe us one!

. . . blind, ignorant fucker. Why does he think a so-called "wg's hate site" would exist in the first place. It doesn't just appear out of thin air.

. . . the only true term in place would be obsessed, . . . obsessed with the truth. And that ain't a bad thing to be hung up on in my book.

. . . my respects Alain. I admire your tenacity. ( remind me to not try and BS you . . . lol)

Ha, ha, ha - mIgor's description of Koi is too funny! I can almost see the bald inverted V bald spot in the center of his forehead turning red as he keeps getting Laylo's voicemail after repeated calls for instructions. The Bumbling Dunderfuk is probably shitting in his slacks! Wonder what the juggalos at the pizza shop/bar at the are gonna think when they log in tonight? Ha, ha, ha, ha!

LIES ALL LIES!!! wrote:I doubt any of that will happen, I think the WG site days are numbered however. It seems to me Shop NBC is fully prepared to run with Facebook as it's interactive medium with their buying public.

I have been saying this exact same thing for the past 2 months and especially since all the hosts and the channel have dramatically started using FB to communicate with viewers/fans.
They will simply close the site and say that shopnbc is requiring them to interact through facebook only or something like that. It would almost make sense since they have lost control of their forum at this point.

I sent a letter directly to Mr Becker tonight on 6/11/2010 and will provide it if he responds , I included the original e-mail from the thread that it was posted in -

Authenticity of this e-mail ???

(MOJO8 ) Dear Mr. Becker ,

I have purchased an Invicta watch with a Dubois Depraz module 2021 , with misaligned hands . I belong to a watch forum called watchgeeks in the U.S and I am trying to asertain if this e-mail that was posted at our site was sent by you :

This is the post floating around WG -

"Mr Becker :

"We are currently investigating what has happened here, and can clearly state the following:

1) Invicta has never purchased a movement or module from Dubois-Depraz. We have had sporadic contact in the past, but to date no movement has ever been supplied to them.

2) The 2021 has been made by the hundreds of thousands, and "opinions" notwithstanding, we have never heard from any customer for this movement regarding the types of problems you have described. After hundreds of thousands, we think we would have by now if there were actually issues.

3) Since Invicta is not a customer of ours, we have no idea if the movements alluded to are in fact genuine DD modules or not. We have seen "duplicates" of our modules in the past (sadly, not bad ones, either), and if they are such, Invicta may very well not even be aware that they are, since they have never had the real thing to compare it to. If they are genuine, we do not know how many hands they passed through before they arrived at Invicta, and what treatment they were subject to.

4) We have contacted Invicta Watch and requested not only their reaction to your e-mail, but also 5-10 samples of cased watches with the modules to determine their origin (see 3) above) and initial sales point (both of which we can do). As you and your members are surely also aware, the casing procedure itself is very delicate and can de-regulate a chronometer-grade movement as well as cause damage to components, such as dials and hands, if done improperly.

5) Obviously, the President of Invicta has not had, nor would he have reason to have had, any "loud conversation" with Dubois-Depraz since he is not even a customer. I would be very surprised if he or anyone from his company publicly blamed DD for something of that nature as claimed; it is not his style as I have known him.

Any person making the types of claims you have mentioned in your e-mail should be advised to be very sure of their information, and the veracity of any information, before making pejorative public statements, especially on a national network.

You may feel free to post this response on your site, and we appreciate your keeping us informed of these events.

Kind regards,
Chris Becker
Business Development Manager--Americas
Dubois-Depraz SA "

(MOJO8) Can you please verify the authenticity of this e-mail and if the facts stated by you are accurate , as this is the response I recieved from a moderator at our site when I inquired if the post was true -

"We just found out it came from one of the WG hate sites... I know for a fact that Eyal purchased these from DD... This letter is bogus... Tonight is the beginning off the WGGT in MIN... Our haters are just trying to mess this up, knowing Mike, Jim, & Eyal, would not be able to respond.

There will be a statement as soon as one or all of them are available... This all I can say at this time..

Georgethewacthguy - watchgeeks moderator "

Thanks sincerly

C. Sumerak

I am not trying to stir the pot or ruin said WGGT in Minn. I am very saddened to read this e-mail if in fact true , which remains to be seen . I have a $1000.00 dollar watch that I am paying for sitting on Rebecca Baitz's desk getting ready for a long journey to wherever for repair and now that I can't get a refund this comes to light , I would love to know if I in fact bought what was advertised and it will be repaired by Dubois Depraz in conjunction with Invicta or if I have been duped by Mr. Lalo and the Shop . These things sure make watch collecting unpleasant to say the least !!!!

Eyal's singing this tune about now (with respect to Frank Sinatra):

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain

I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes there were times I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out, I faced it all
And I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way

For what is a man what has he got
If not himself then he has not
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Yes it was my way

Is he serious? This blows up last night around the Net on several Sites, and this is the only response he can come up with? Someone needs to hire a PR guy for Turdling. He would have been better served staying out of it and just letting the Mods continue to close threads. I love the fact that the email addresses of the DD people are right there but he wants proof through an actual email. I'm sure someone is going to take the chance on libel by making all this up, that Turdling guy really isn't too sharp is he?

Here's some free advice Turdling. In time of crisis, CEO's often look for fall guys. Since you are the Tech Adviser and part owner of the Site that has joined in on spreading this vicious rumor which btw costs Eyal sponsorship money, I'd keep my mouth shut and stay away from the forum. Let Skelboy deal with it like he said he would. I'm sure he'd like to be embarrassed next by the fine people at DD squashing his BS too.
