Doxa confusion

DOXA SUB 11891-4 Army
One of the lesser known versions of the DOXA sports watches from the 1970’s would be the DOXA SUB Army reference 11891-4.

Very few spotted and even less documentation to be found.

Some claim it to be a Swiss military watch… What is real and what is not, I do not know but here is my take on this “mythical rare bird”…

So, what is the DOXA Army? The DOXA Army is a watch similar to their more famous SUB 300T, but with some differences…

One of them being very shy from the broader watch community! While searching the Internet, you will find only a handful of watches and even less documents!

Here is one of the documents on Instagram, credit @rockathier

As can be seen, the case and bezel shape is same as for the SUB 300T, but other than that…

Synchron Military Diver: Hands-On With A Controversial New Watch Release
Every so often, a watch comes along that shakes up the establishment. Ok, it’s a very small corner of the watch world that we’re discussing here, but nonetheless… The Synchron Military is here and it’s not without controversy.

On our last podcast about vintage dive watches, Balazs and I briefly discussed the brand new Synchron Military and the stir it had already created on its first day of release. We envisioned a “Biggie vs. Tupac” style watch beef complete with posses and tough talk. Frankly, we weren’t all that off course. There have been shots fired with Synchron gaining a first mover advantage over a larger related, yet unrelated brand. If you came here just to read a watch review, you’re probably asking, “what the hell is Mike talking about? ” As the retired wide receiver Terrell Owens once said, “Get your popcorn ready!”

I'd rather stick my dick into a wall outlet than give a dime to Rick Marei.

The fanbois can go and fuck themselves. Rick Moranus scrubbed and destroyed a decade of watch knowledge and good cheer when he killed BDWF. The ultimate white shoe watch forum, it could have been saved for a pittance, for the edification of WIS's for many years to come. But no, this is the modern era, and this is the internet. The death of BDWF was like the burning of the Alexandria library.

Instead, it's the almighty dollar and profits and new-ness over watch reviews, clever and witty writing, and ten years of shared knowledge.

Fuck Rick and all the rest. Fuck 'em in the ear.

Probably alone on this but I think them watches are fugly.
ugly as shit. outright rip-off. Rickie Martini is nothing but a grifter in his own right. Doxa must be pissed at this rip-off and hopefully will do a "swatch attack" on the insect. But as I said, the doxa fanbois are drooling, tripping over each other, fawning like little lemmings. Remind me of the watchgeeks of old.
