Panerai Submersible Goldtech
This may be the year of the Luminor for Officine Panerai this year, but that does not mean that they have abandoned new releases from their other collection families. At the recent Watches & Wonders Shanghai they launched a new model that is the first time that two of their proprietary materials, Goldtech™ and Carbotech™, have been used together, in a Submersible form.
The Submersible Goldtech™ (PAM01070) watch features a 44mm sized case made from Goldtech™, an alloy that is a blend of 18 kt gold and copper with some platinum to give it lustre. The unidirectional rotating bezel is in Carbotech™, which we have covered numerous times before. It is a composite material with a ‘grained’ look that is made by compressing thin sheets of carbon fibre and a polymer together at high pressure to create a strong durable material.
The bezel, crown, and crown bridge lever are Carbotech™. The trademarked crown protection device is in Goldtech™.
The dial is black and features another popular 2020 feature – sunray finishing. It has applied indices and of course all the markers and hands are lumed.

Now forever and ever after."
