Go with the lavender one. Unless she's a Giro d'Italia fan.
You'll get some leg out of this for sure.

Yes, really nice. I'm also considering a Constellation for Sarah, good choice for a lady. Probably won't be a coloured dial though.

Fantastic. I'm amazed at the volumes of variations. What size are you looking at?jason_recliner wrote: ↑March 9th 2022, 6:34pmYes, really nice. I'm also considering a Constellation for Sarah, good choice for a lady. Probably won't be a coloured dial though.

No idea. Just one style that I'm considering. She likes them but she's probably leaning towards a smart watch anyway. We'll see.smellody wrote: ↑March 9th 2022, 6:40pmFantastic. Re: These are nice
They come in 25mm, 28mm, 34mm, 35mm, and 38mm like mine.
The pastel colour (I speller colour correctly for you) ones are 28mm. I wish they were 34mm as my ladyfriend doesn't like watches too dainty.

Re: These are nice
28mm is pretty small. They seem targeted at Asians. Is that racialist?

Re: These are nice
Yes, it is. But then, so is absolutely everything. Yesterday at work someone said “peanut gallery “ and was informed that was the height of racism. This happened before I showed up and a group of people were talking about it. “That’s news to me” I said, “I’ve only ever heard the expression in reference to Howdy Doody or vaudeville.” They stood slack jawed (another racist term, BTW) slowly blinking until one spoke up and said “What are those things?”jason_recliner wrote: ↑March 9th 2022, 8:37pm28mm is pretty small. FFS. The world has gone too far. It's fucking cuckoo land now. I don't know what peanut gallery means, let alone if it's racist or not. Everybody needs to calm down.DoctorIvey wrote: ↑March 10th 2022, 4:58amYes, it is. But then, so is absolutely everything. Re: These are nice
It is a distinctly American term. Vaudevillians used it to describe the cheap seats, where the least expensive food item was peanuts, and from which performers were most likely to receive heckling.
It was pretty much an insider term but until a wildly popular TV show, Howdy Doody Time, featured two sets of bleachers dubbed “the peanut gallery “ on which sat children who were interactive members of the show.
If you didn’t experience Howdy Doody it’s difficult to comprehend the importance it played in American pop culture. Ron Howard entered a Howdy Doody look alike contest in Happy Days and the entire Krusty the Clown show is basically a copy of it. Even the comic strip Peanuts was an homage to Buffalo Bob and Howdy Doody’s peanut gallery.
But yesterday a group of 20 year olds tried to tell me it was all based on the worst part of the slave ship where people were unspeakably molested. I’m not arguing the point, but it’s news to me. I still think that without Howdy Doody nobody would know the term. And I’m with you-we have to stop seeing the bogeyman everywhere. It’s not healthy.

Howdy Doody named names in front of HUAC. True fact. After the devil doll was done shooting his otherwise mute mouth off to McCarthy and Roy Cohn--himself an unspeakable homasex-shul--Buffalo Bob Smith wasn't able to get a job shoveling shit in Kentucky.

Re: These are nice
I hope he ratted out Mr. Greenjeans. Mr. Redjeans he should have been called. He and The Captain sent out encoded messages to the audience ordering them to kill their parents and unionize. During commercials they ran to the restroom for Blumpy Time, during which the Captain inevitably soiled his mustache.
