I keep all my watches in an old Folgers coffee can…. Damn it, now I’ve said too much!

I bought some old worm eaten wood thing that had some drawers for other stuff but after seeing Smellody's prize, my watches are all in rebellion and threatening to 'go quartz' if I don't upgrade their accommodations.

I get what you're saying about the overall feel. Some of these cases have that flimsy, almost toy-like build that doesn't match the price tag. The way the lid opens and closes reminds me of a cheap jewelry box hinge—just doesn’t have that satisfying, solid movement you'd expect. I don’t mind plastic in general, but I wish they'd at least use something with a bit more weight and smoother action.

Well, if nobody has a new watch box to show off, we better just axe this thread. My overflow seems to be happy resting in the desk drawer; they know they will never experience the level of luxury afforded to them other watches.
