De Minnow through to the third round! Congratulations to the Little Aussie Battler!

And Serena has just won the first set of her second round match. Is it too soon to start talking about a possible "fairy tale ending"?

I certainly like "happy endings."
"Fairy tale ending" is the 'woke' way of putting it.

Wonderful victory for the GOAT. Fairy Tale still a possibility.

Great to see Aussie Tomljanović flying the Australian flag high, mighty and proud. Aussie as Arnotts, fair dinkum as Ugg. You go, девочка!

Easy win for Medvedev. Fairly easy win for Special K. But perhaps should have been easier.

Surprising to see Murray winning a couple matches. Surprising, not great.

Looking forward to seeing what Rafa's got to offer tomorrow.

Recliner out.

.

Will assume Novak Djokovic is still undefeated at this year's US Open.
He's not playing. Hasn't veen vaccinated so apparently he's not allowed into America!
So I'm correct-------- he has not been beaten by another US Open player this year.

Wasn't he ranked the #1 mens tennis player and was he the guy that had problems playing in Australia or am I totally out of the loop.

Pretty close. I think he's ranked 2 now. Medvedev the Russian Dog is 1. Really surprised one can't even enter America unless vaccinated.

When I was in elementary school we had an assembly with tennis players who were to have some sort of expo at the Memorial Coliseum. They served three tennis balls at the kids. I caught one and was awarded tickets to the event.

It was as boring as golf.

Congratulations to Carlos Alcaraz. 2022 US Open champion and youngest men's #1 ever. Unfortunately I missed the match as I have a big Monday and I haven't seen the Spanish youngster play yet. Not to worry, sounds like there'll be many, many opportunities to see him play the big matches over the next decade or two.
