Legend Diver gets 2 new dial colors

Post by koimaster » March 16th 2021, 9:41am

After a period of letting the watch languish somewhat without the updates some fans craved, Longines has placed a renewed focus on the Legend Diver in recent months. It was in November of last year that we brought you news of Longines introducing a handsome version of the watch with a bronze case and green dial (and no date), and now as part of their first batch of new releases for 2021, Longines has given us a few more variants, adding blue and brown dialed versions to the Legend Diver stable.

My opinion, looks best with original no date dial.

Like the Sumo, looks great but the long lugs can affect wearability.

Nah, it doesn't wear anything like the Sumo. The Longines lugs more or less stick straight out from the case, the Sumo curves to follow the wrist.

It's not just the lugs. The internal bezel felt cheap with a bit of play, and the strap didn't feel as good as it looked.

The curves on the Sumo may help but I still found it wore poorly. The lugs are so long that the case gap makes wearing a strap on the watch look wrong IMO.

Unless you are paying big money for a watch I rarely find any included leather strap to be up to spec.
