Longines Brings Back The Carefree Spirit Of The Late 1940s With The Heritage Classic Tuxedo

Posted On July 15, 2020
The winged hourglass brand releases two new creations inspired by two historic pieces designed in the spirit of their time.

Back in the 1940s, after the harsh war came a time of prosperity and celebration. At that time, elegance was back in fashion as men wore suits, women wore recently-introduced nylon stockings and people got dressed up to go out and dance to the rhythm of jazz bands.

I like the three-hand version, although the chrono looks great as well.
I always hope for the best. Experience, unfortunately, has taught me to expect the worst.

Both are inducing significant wood around these parts. Elegant.
