Poco founding member Rusty Young - and for my money, one of the real music innovators in the way he performed on pedal steel guitar, bringing the instrument into the rock world - has died at the age of 75. I had the pleasure of spending some time with him and Paul Cotton of the band, and I write this with a heavy heart. Young was the voice heard on "Crazy Love," which was probably the band's biggest hit single. Nobody played the way he did - nobody.

That's sad news indeed. I saw Poco at Red Rocks in the late seventies. '78 or 9. I'm not sure how many of the original members were still with the group, so many moved on to other huge bands. They rocked the joint, man, never forget it.
