I love that old school rap. My grandkids used to love listening to it whenever They visited or drove around with me. But then their mommy and daddy said no more. Bad influence on them, me and music.

Ever wonder where snoop got some of his rap

Since we're talking samples...

(skip to 2:00 if you're impatient)

One of the greatest samples of all time. Dre FTW.

And since we're talking samples, and Naughty By Nature...

Maybe THE greatest sample of all time?

Rich white male entitlement much? Just because you can write you assume those rap singers are literate. Typical sentiment from a Rolex owner.

From an old white guy

Music is entirely a personal thing but people like Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Mike & LP, Big Boi, Eminem are all amazing musicians.

I'm not a big rap listener but sometimes its exactly what I want...and there is no denying the talent.
Meritocracy: the privilege, wealth and advancement of those who chose their parents wisely.
Capitalism: a cult that promised to do good for the worst reasons.
Nationalism: a profound longing to go back to a past that never existed.

NWA and acts from this era is the only worthy rap. I was in high school growing up in West Linn (much like Compton, California CA) but totally different but completely relatable rolling in your '64 Benz with Alpine hoping the deck wouldn't be stolen like Easy's was. UZI up you ass if he don't get paid. Looking for the birches with the big butts.
