We built this city on Rock and Roll and other 2025 Concerts

Post by smellody » February 18th 2025, 2:16pm

I just won a pair of tickets to see Starship on 3/1/2025 at one of the local casinos.

As many of you know, I'm an avid concert goer. I prefer to win my tickets, but. . . Sometime I'll buy them too.

A couple weeks back, my daughter, Emma, and I attended a fantastic Elton John tribute band. The trio was from England and were fab.

(That is Elton John's actual stage used and owned outfit aquired by the lead singer (his second most treasured thing besides his wide.))

I have tickets for two Beatles tribute bands, one in March and one in May. I can't get enough. I'll go to every show that comes to town. Wish I wish living 60 years ago. . .

For my birthday weekend, I'm flying up to British Columbia with my wife to see BTO!
I've always been a huge Bachman Turner Overdrive fan.

Randy Bachman used to live in Washington State just north of Portland, Oregon. https://globalnews.ca/news/2823374/mans ... or-us4-8m/

My old boss, Peter Price of Peter Price's Sports and Vintage Cars, was a friend of his and serviced his Bentley R-Type.

Anyhow, really looking forward to seeing the show. The other Bachman brothers just passed, so no time like now to see Randy and the other surviving original members.

I am hoping that the Guess Who add to their tour with Randy Bachman. . .I just missed them up Conjurer's way.

What do you planks have lined up?

speaking about tribute bands, here in Denmark we have "Queen Machine", with a singer who in "civilian life" is a medical doctor. Fantastic show, I had the pleasure to watch them twice now.

Close by, just on the south side of the border we have "Gerd's Juke Joint", where there are regular blues and blues rock concerts and a festival of rock guitar series of gigs every year.
Ardnut since 1989

In twenty years or so, the German language will be one, massively long compound word.

New Order were great. Musically it is one of the best concerts I have seen...the lead singer is way past his vocal prime it though. I liked it more when he shut up :-)
