New Citizen Series 8

Post by jason_recliner » March 10th 2021, 7:44pm

For those who find US$6k a bit too rich for a Citizen they have released some more accessible Series 8 models. This is my favourite:

It has a three layer dial, with some kind of mesh overlying a mother-of-pearl veneer. Price is around US$2k for this JDM model. The others are more conservative and are global releases.

It's a real nice looking watch. 2k is still more than a bit rich for a Citizen in my world.

I like it except for the dial and hands. The one with the smooth face dial is much nicer.

Still too pricey for a Citizen.

Series 8? They couldnt have come up with something a little less Seiko like unless that is the intent?

Except for their dive watches Im pretty upset with Citizen these days and they completely ruined Bulova IMHO.
NRPI here.
