5 FACTS ABOUT CITIZEN WATCH COMPANY

Post by koimaster » December 26th 2018, 9:04pm

OK, this may not be that much of a news to most regular readers. We have talked about the 100th Anniversary celebratory products, like the F990 100th Anniversary Satellite Wave. And the Citizen Caliber 0100 which was announced in Baselworld 2018 as the most accurate stand alone quartz watch (+/- 1s a year). The Baselworld showing was a prototype pocket watch in a sapphire glass case and not a commercial release. But we were given to understand that this new watch will be presented as a special watch, to be commercially available for 2019.

And here I thought "Meisters" only existed in the "Game of Thrones" world.

I love Citizen watches but since they bought Bulova I am not happy with those.
NRPI here.

Agree with both fogster and max. GREAT CS, and their NYC store is a stone pleasure. Bulova ... a shell of what it once was.
WatchGeeks will go down in watch forum history as the worst watch related site that existed. Trolls, threats, bannings, and owners and sponsors talking out of their collective asses to fleece people out of hard earned money. - Koimaster

Yeah I love the NYC store which is right in the heart of Times Square and feels very funky compared to the 5th/Madison stuffy farts. They have Campanolas I've never seen elsewhere. The brand keeps knocking it out of the park. For a grand less than GS, the Chronomaster is on par just minus the Zaratsu.

I can also attest to Citi's fine CS. A year or so ago my Sailhawk's capacitor finally crapped out and refused to hold a charge; I took it to a local jewelers I had done a fair amount of business with, and they sent it back to Citizen's service center in (I think) Torrance, CA. I got it back a couple of weeks later, with a total charge of around $25, with a light polishing, and new gaskets.
I find tv watches to be like the guys who raise their truck you need a fricken ladder to get in. It’s a attempt to look cool... that’s all.
