Citizen Eco-Drive One

Post by Racer-X » April 18th 2017, 12:59pm

by Michael Thompson "Measuring only 2.98mm front to back, Citizen’s Eco-Drive One drew considerable attention when it was introduced last year as the slimmest light-powered analog wristwatch available. As our coverage of the debut noted here, Citizen launched the collection with one 800-piece tungsten-cased limited-edition model with crocodile strap priced at $6,000 and a bracelet-only version with a steel case and different bezel metal priced at $2,600."

WHY do these fucking things have to be so fucking EXPENSIVE? A tungsten watch for 5,600 bones? Why? It couldn't have been THAT expensive to develop and produce this thing...even the 2,600-bone version is just too pricy...JEEZUM CROW...

Love Citizen, love the concept, love the slimness, love the obvious quality. Don't mind the prices.

Yet, I wouldn't touch 'em. These watches are accomplishing the impossible: Watches that are probably worth their asking prices, given what they are ... that somehow manage to look like $299 department store watches. The bezel screws and the dials...ugh. It's as if they were so happy with the slim design that everything else was an afterthought.
WatchGeeks will go down in watch forum history as the worst watch related site that existed. Trolls, threats, bannings, and owners and sponsors talking out of their collective asses to fleece people out of hard earned money. - Koimaster
