Those are some beautiful photos in the PNW. You've certainly set the bar high Koi. Bon Voyage Field Marshall. May your journey be filled with adventure and bountiful pleasures.

Re: The Field Marshall in Salem July 2018
Had a visit today from this little fella.

After adjusting the date from the 31st to the 1st.. it is much happier.
Tomorrow, it will go to Portland to participate in an administrative hearing and two interviews.
Tonight, there may be some endurance testing.

Aha! The next contestant is identified. Rooster, please resend me your address. Lord knows I've sent enough checks to you over the years I should remember.
Back to the task at hand.
It says 50M WR. For you yanks, that's damn near 150 feet or more. The hillbilly hot tub is about three feet or one meter.
Here, the watch is pictured underwater as I skinny dip.

First impressions. ...
I like the dial layout. I now want a taupe colored Explorer. My favorite thing on this watch is the canvas strap....
Side story.... I've taken to wearing more and more khaki and tan; or as would otherwise be approved by Higgins. With its strap, this watch fits right in. I fancy someplace tropical or going on safari. . .maybe one day.
I discussed all this with one of my cats, Mr. Mittens the kitten. Interestingly, MM (Mr. Mittens the kitten) took a liking to my friend Alain today. He mounted Alain and proceeded to find comfort against Alain's neck. Like a furry neck beard. Here you will find Mr. Mittens approving of the watch.

Re: The Field Marshall in Salem July 2018
Update.
The Marshall survived.

After 2.5 hours of 92 degree water.... it keeps on ticking! Unlike most Croton divers.... no fog.

Of note, I read Indiglo earlier. I was amazed to find:

Also of interest, with phone in hand and other hand submerged, it makes it difficult to touch the crown to engage the green indiglo dial and take a picture. Especially when your hand and fingers are wet.

Upon the discovery yesterday that I am in possession of the same watch, albeit a different version with a shiny green seconds hand, I shall recuse myself from participation in this version of the passaround. Kindly proceed to the next host on the list.

Which is exactly why I hate to drink water, as Randy says, Fish, lumberjacks & pirates pee in it.

This wouldn't be the first time a pass-around got loaded with DNA.

Godamit, this is a posh experience. I hope the Marshal will also see some lumberjack action, or he will be completely spoilt by the time You are done with him.

When I ever get my mitts on this here watch, I'm going to take it cave exploring. In other words, I'm going to take Spunk spelunking!

I was stuck in front of my laptop all weekend writing a proposal. I'll wear the Marshall today. Poor guy hasn't had any fun.

Today we are playing pirate.

Who is next to host the Marshall?
We will go for a little ride this weekend and then I will prepare home for his journey to the next adventure.

I should think not. He is on a mission and accounted for. Will likely surface soon in some amusing situation.
