Yep, some people are simply sheeple that purchase fashion watches based on what they see at Olympic Games, peddle bike races, tennis & golf matches, etc.
Omega, Rolex & Tag Heuer comes to mind.
Not everyone possesses the fine taste or knowledge of non-fashion Timex, Fossil and/or Chinese homage watches , the fashion watch lemmings will purchase what they are told to.
I can only imagine the admiration independent folks must have seeing the BASM I really want to wear in public tomorrow for Halloween
But unfortunately I have yet to purchase a matching orange shirt for it-------- so I'll probably end up wearing a Breitling fashion watch.
That watch would look swell with some orange Filipino safety shoes.
