Everything you need to know about all the Black Bay watches

Post by bbattle » December 5th 2025, 6:49pm

With new Black Bay models being released almost as fast as Invictas, this article is very helpful for the collector and the prospective new purchaser of a Black Bay.

I learned there was a silver cased Black Bay 58 released in 2021, and also that the Ranger strap with the T-fit clasp is a perfect fit for Black Bay 58 models that do not get (for some insane reason) the T-fit clasp on the bracelet.

To add to the confusing mix, Tudor offers the Pelagos, or Black Bays in titanium cases.

I still can't decide and won't until a new contract has been awarded at work next October. A big re-org by the Dark Side could mean the end of my career there(probably not but who really knows these days). But it costs nothing to look. If I do pull the trigger on a BB58, next year's football prize would most likely be my LIW dive watch.

My wife absolutely loves my Omega/Swatch Moonwatches and gets lots of compliments on them. We(she) have 5 of them: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Neptune, Moon. Now Swatch has a white one that you can only buy when it is snowing in Switzerland.

The hype is getting a bit too thick so I got her a Blancpain/Swatch instead for Christmas.

in other news:

After Saturday's football games, the bowl games list will be finalized and released soon after. I'll find a copy and provide it and everyone can pick their teams. Most people open the sheet in Paint and circle their choices. With the expanded playoffs, it may be necessary to type out the winners of those playoff games to avoid confusion.

Again, winner is the one that picks the most winners in the bowl games. no cost to play. the prize is an Alato Arvet. unworn, with case and papers.

If the watch is not your cup of tea, I will make a donation to the charity of your choice.

The lume pips fall out...not much more I need to know ;-)
Meritocracy: the privilege, wealth and advancement of those who chose their parents wisely.
Capitalism: a cult that promised to do good for the worst reasons.
Nationalism: a profound longing to go back to a past that never existed.

I kinda dig that long-named white Snoopy chrono swatchograph… but I would be so unbelievably pissed if I walked into the San Francisco Swatch boutique to buy one and they walk away to get a unit for you… but then they reluctantly return your debit card and advise, “…I’m sorry, Sir - it’s an unseasonably beautiful and sunny day in Old Country. Maybe come back next week?”
”Russian Warship - Go Fuck Yourself!”
