RWC Oyster Lipton

Post by smellody » August 4th 2023, 4:23pm

My RWC Oyster Lipton is just back from an extensive overhaul. I will dub it the "Lipton Tea Stain." New balance staff, mainspring, crystal, crown, and other bits. My watchmaker's watchmaker wife did a great job refilling the hands and matching the dial lume. Love the red 24 hour track. Now to pick just the right strap.

Interesting watch. I read somewhere that these types of watches were sold through department stores and a lot of Canadian and British servicemen bought them because they were quite inexpensive and sturdy, well of course they would be they are Rolex Oysters.
