TUDOR UNVEILS THE PRINCE CHRONOGRAPH ONE FOR ONLY WATCH 2023

Post by smellody » June 29th 2023, 6:58am

For Only Watch 2023, TUDOR is celebrating a classic chronograph from the ‘70s in a charming, modern way.

For the first time a brand-new prototype Manufacture Chronograph Calibre, fully developed from the ground up by TUDOR, is being presented in a unique 18k solid yellow gold interpretation of a TUDOR classic, the “Big Block” chronograph. . .

Oh My !

Always did like gold and black together.
NRPI and Shitheel here.

If I am to be insulted I must first value your opinion.

Cool new movement and the 12 - 6 - 9 o'clock register configuration distantiating the Prince from being otherwise too cosmo-esque is a nice design touch.

Still interesting that Tudor is working in precious metals and designs reminiscent of the Crown apparently to shore up the younger demographic targeted with the discrete designs that accompanied Tudor's independent relaunch. Bringing in some older folks' money sure ain't going to hurt.

Unfortunately this is just a one off for auction. I hope it will lead to a big block relaunch. This unbiased enthusiast will find a way to get one if it goes into production. . .
I think they will given the new caliber and the R&D money involved in engineering a new movement. It's cool the movement has the Kinesi mark and a prototype designation in the one off - # 0 outta to bring up the auction value, ehh? I suspect that the initial releases will be gold but who knows, mighty irresistible in steel or Ti by golly.

My next watch may be all gold. Only thing I don't currently have that is of interest. Have a few under consideration. This one certainly would warrant being on the list.

The other auction watches are mainly well... in another league.

The One is straight up beautiful,

I'm so impressed with Tudor over the past decade or so. It's like the Rolex's kid is grown up, now.
