GS does a Quartz...

Post by jason_recliner » July 6th 2024, 5:24pm

... sports watch!

Looks so cheap (for a GS) to me. No fancy-pants hands, no incredible 5-link bracelet, basic-looking case. Surely would have worked better as a Prospex.

GS aren't particularly fancy necessarily. I like more substance and less flash.
Meritocracy: the privilege, wealth and advancement of those who chose their parents wisely.
Capitalism: a cult that promised to do good for the worst reasons.
Nationalism: a profound longing to go back to a past that never existed.

I disagree. The only watch my mate ever commented was my Hi-Beat, it sparkled in the sun like it was made of mirrors. Prospex does (did?) substance without unnecessary bling very well indeed.

My GS Diver is subtle as fuck. Everything about it is perfect...but you only start noticing just how good it is when you look close.

Agree. Have had a number of GS dress watches and they all had more glitter points than Liberace.

Did you guys miss the word 'necessarily'?? Then miss the example given of a non-glittery GS?
It isn't really an issue to agree or disagree on when there are examples on non-bling GS's right in front of you.

Yeah that one should also probably be a Prospex. Although it is quite blingy.

That's just fucking class, that is. I mean, really. I'd have that over a fucking Submariner, no error.

However, it makes one think, how many of the truly oppressed by corporate terrorism could have been made whole by the funds spent on that admittedly near-as-fuck perfect watch? It wouldn't bother me in the least, but then, I'm a total asshole, not an avatar of the People!!
