Dinner Last Night

Post by conjurer » March 26th 2025, 9:58am

So, we had a record high temperature here in the PacNW yesterday, along with fine weather, so I headed up to the local Haggen and picked up some shit to grill. I made teriyaki chicken kebobs. Viz:

Official Lords watchcat Paddy stayed out of my way, which was helpful.

Wish there was a Haggens near me, their deli sandwiches are edible.
Quite so. There's a Safeway close by, but shopping there always feels like I'm waiting on line for borscht behind the Iron Curtain. The closest Haggen to me is about five miles away, but worth the trip.

Glad to see you're using a charcoal grill. Fire good!

PS... might try lump charcoal. I switched and now prefer it.
Lump charcoal is the best. Once you go lumpy, you won't go back to bricks.
I've head trouble keeping lump burning in the past. I'll get a bag and try again.

Cooking with fire takes real skill, looks amazing, well done. Sadly I haven't mastered it yet.

Sort of on topic... Our local deli just won Best Continental Roll (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conti_roll) so we picked one for breakfast while walking the hound. Suffice to say it was absolutely DELICIOUS 🤤
