Yep, bacon is the only ingredient, other than pepper and salt, that can improve a beef pattie IMO.

This being Alabama, I am required to use bacon whenever possible and fry EVERYTHING.

I have not mixed bacon in my hamburger meat; can't believe I haven't thought of that before.
