What's wrong with Fossils?
Well your wife must like them since she keeps you around.

Every now and then I find that I set my mechanical watches to the wrong time. Sometimes I realize later in the day that I set the minute off by 5 minutes. Or worse, I set the whole watch off by 1 hour. When I pick up a mechanical that is not running I usually give it a bit of a wind (if it supports that) then set the time against my Accutron or quartz Aqua Terra (knowing that they are always within a couple of seconds). I usually take the time to sync the seconds hand if hacking is available. So I might have the second hand synced but either the minute hand or the hour hand is off by 1 index.
This is not all the time, but it happens to me once every few weeks. I guess I'm getting old? I don't have the attention for details? I don't know how I have started to make this mistake.
When I take a quartz out of the drawer it will have the right time. It might have the wrong date if last month was less than 31 days. But I don't care so much about the date anyway (I sightly prefer watches without date.)
This afternoon I am wearing an Omega quartz that is still within 1 second now 2-3 months since I last synced it to correct time. I like that reliability.
I'm not saying that I prefer quartz over mechanical (hand wind is actually my favorite type). But quartz has advantages.

I've done the "5 minute " thing too!!
I've also looked at a quartz watch and could swear that the seconds hand isn't moving when it is.

I hate to admit to it, but I've done the 5 minutes off deal more than a few times. I figured it was due to my somewhat dissipated lifestyle and lack of brain cells.
Regarding Sole-lass Quarts, i Half a feww:
And a couple others, including another Citizen (a black Skyhawk with a dead capacitor) and a Seiko Sportura, with a dead battery.
