Ultra-Resilient Edox SkyDiver Neptunian

Edox might not be as well-known as some other brands in the world of aquatic watchmaking, but it can rely on decades of expertise nonetheless. The brand became respected as the “Water Champion” with watches like the Delfin from 1961 and the Hydro-Sub from 1965. Another iconic model is the SkyDiver, said to have been commissioned by a Swiss colonel in 1973. Carrying the torch in spirit, Edox revived the SkyDiver name a couple of years ago with a retro-looking set of watches. On the more contemporary end of the spectrum sits the SkyDiver Neptunian, a seriously robust model. New to the range is this Edox SkyDiver Neptunian Date Automatic in a dark midnight blue colour scheme.

Is Edox risking succumbing to the Technomarine/Invicta pricing model, perhaps in response to falling sales? I got nothing against the brand, they make some good looking watches, one of which is in my Joma basket. They are propular with several reputable, knowledgable collectors. And Temerity B. :dev:

But more and more of their watches seem to be in the $2,500 rrp reduced to $500 territory.
