Nice Datejust. Did Rollie release it from the factory like that, or was that a later repair where they ditched the quartz movement?

Rolex designed the case and integrated bracelet, but were NOT yet happy with the quartz movement.

They released approximately 1,000 SS (1530) and 1,000 (1630) two tone on a couple of markets prior to the quartz watches. Some reports note 1,500 total combined variants.

Very, very rare modernish Rolex.
