Nuvolari’s old boss’s car company certainly produces some fantastic F1 cars… and the 312T was certainly one of them.
Powered by a 2991.8cc 180-degree “V” 12 cylinder mill cranking out 495hp at 12,200 rpm - in 1976. They would use this engine through 1980 right up to the dawn of the turbo era.

Luca di Montezomolo, was at that time the Ferrari Motorsport director and went on to become the head of Ferrari. On two separate occasions when I had spoken with him, over the course of about 10 years, he wore a Rolex. Makes sense to me. Italians like watches.

Nuvolari hisownselve would have been beside himself to learn of the progress that followed in less than twenty years after his passing.
Don’t know that he would have been cool with people wearing watches with his signature etched in the back… but I like to think,
“…he would have
wanted it that way.”

I took this picture with my Kodak 110 camera when this car was displayed inside the Ferrari factory.
As a young man who might have at the time even fit inside the cockpit of this later turbo chassis - I was taken aback by the excessively cozy cockpit that would likely require you take off your shoes to even stand a chance of cramming your waterski feet into the tiny pedal box.

Oh - and, up to FIVE images, right?
Welp, my small dog is 30% smaller in diameter after a haircut.
Now she’s lighter and faster - like the later 312T2…

And that’s todays bit of crap.
Cheers LORDS!
