There was a time when you could run a few shake down laps in your casual clothes… and wristwatch.
Dan Gurney won in 1964 in a Galxie prepared by the Wood Brothers at the track he helped design, Riverside International Raceway, and where I was fortunate to have run a few laps as a kid before its demise in 1988.


Makes me wonder what kind watch Gurney would have worn. In ‘64? Probably something particularly advanced and accurate.

I can’t imagine anyone here getting ‘triggered’ over a reference to a mediocre scope - that’s pretty ghey. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.



Also, too, because - hey fuck you - I’ll post whatever the hell I gawddamn feel like…here’s a cool ass dog - that’s not even mine.
