On the Wrist Today - Monday 12/23/24

Post by AlbertaTime » December 23rd 2024, 4:05am

Remember these? Mine still works. But my watches have an easy life.

Home from work, sick like dawg...sore throat, lungs very unhappy, stuffed up. Anyways...not gonna die on ya, I figure.

Hey Ron - I like that chronograph!

I became such an Alpha fanboy that I even added the transparent caseback to the same mechanical chrono. I have 3 that work great when called into service… which, admittedly, is rare these days.

Also - I like the green Thunder!

Tinkering around here , minor daughter-car service , and then I take Phoebe (the black dog) to get her hairs did.

When I bought them, they were under $200 IIRC, so at that price, an excellent deal. And very acceptable quality for the price, at least mine.

But now, so far as I can find, they're $500 or so. That's arguably fair but I think other Chinese brands might provide better value. Mind you, I don;t know who else has a "Daytona-ish" like this--but I haven't looked.
