True story. Way back, when I worked in restaurants, I had an employee named Joe Hobbs. Now, Joe wasn't a bad guy at all--a real sweet guy, really. But, saying that Joe wasn't ever going to split the atom was understating things. He was, possibly, the stupidest fellow I'd ever met. One day I was writing in the previous day's sales into the ledger (remember having to write things down?) and he walked up. "Hey, John, doing some 'rythmatic?" I said I was. Joe then said, "I used to be real good at 'rythmatic. Then I got to them there fractions."

One day not long after he came dashing into the store on his day off, totally out of breath. Ricky, the other assistant manager, grabbed him and tried to calm him down. Joe Hobbs was overly upset that Hulk Hogan had lost his title in Wrestler-Mania.
