That made me lol and share. Apparently I am the only one who hears it - an eye dunt no wye.

Chillin for a couple of hours before the gates open for the Grand Prix later this afternoon.

We’ll have time to kill there, too (also), since the race doesn’t actually start until 10:00 pm.

Nice! That's a departure for you isn't it?
In more recent years I have stuck to Japanese watches but in past I was more eclectic. Always had a soft spot for the panda Datron 800 chrono. Had an original 18k HS360 with El Primero for a while but as much as I liked it, it was the piece that made me swear off vintage for good.

These hit all my buttons for a chrono. Almost dress watch size at 40mm diameter 12.4mm thick. No tachymeter or applied chapter ring. Very basic/elegant. Even has polished center links.

2894-2 ETA movement.

And kinda hard to find. The reverse panda variant is somewhat more common.

They didn’t seem to sell too well when they were produced 2010-2014. The mall watch stigma was lying heavily on Movado then. Somewhat abated now as they have been making some decent automatics in recent years.

MSRP was 3k back then.

I bought one new from a gray marketeer in 2017 but there were a few things off about it that made me suspect it was a fake or frankenwatch and returned it to vendor. There had been reports on internet about counterfeits of this model.

Just came in today and all seems to check out. Excellent, near minty, even the polished centerlinks are quite clean.

Date window is a nod to moon watch.
