In November my Doctor Daughter wraps up med school mid terms and is going to meet me in Las Vegas for the Formula 1 race.

She was in tears today when she learned I picked up two good seats. And I was in tears, too, after I had paid… but Emily had camped at the track with me back when we campaigned a (sportscar) team and she had watched every F1 race with me since she was a toddler. So, financial prudence be damned, we’re going to watch a gawddamn Formula One Grand Prix in person.

The artists rendition of the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz, below, is not ‘to scale’:
