Ebels are a lot like women that lack a low cut dress that zips up the side...neither get the love that they deserve...

NRPI and Shitheel here.

“Begin at the beginning," the King said, very gravely, "and go on till you come to the end: then stop.”

If I am to be insulted I must first value your opinion.

Looks great!
Wears great as well. So far, anyjow. I am going one watch for a while to test the timekeeping on it and to see if I get sick of the look and feel of it.

No complaints so far. Looks like losing a second or two per day but will see after a week or so.

Really glad to get white dial version.

That's nice. And orange 🍊. What media did you use? Hazelnut shell? Grit?
It was some sort of shell-based something… it may have been hazelnut, but it was nearly 15 years ago. The end result gives it a titaniumiumeeum look.

AND also, too, it got me to stop calling everything “bead-blasted”…. I just like that it’s de-bling’d, as the young people used to say.

It has a Milgaus-esq vibe with the orange against white but the the crystal is not green and the seconds hand is ridiculously straight.

Cheers! 🍻

Wowee! Very sharp!
Thank you!

All these recent posts referencing Bernhardt had me itching to put a wind in this one. Essentially in Fred’s honor…

The degree of deblinging is attractive to my eye for this picece. Retains some luster whereas some examples look very flat like they have had a coat of gray primer that works well on commando kit and so forth

Alright - sorry… I’m polluting the living hell out of this post, but the sentimental part about watches got me thinking…

Back when I first had this wartch blasted I took a great photo (with a camera, of all things) of the Binnacle Anchor watch on an actual Binnacle Anchor which my father in law, a retired ship captain, has in his yard.
IMG_6027.jpeg
But time marches on… my youngest daughter, who is in medical school now, had then just turned ten and learned how to drive.

That kid is now a brilliant adult but the watch looks largely the same.

That was an excellent story.
