Out for little drive to Phoebe’s favorite park for walking and squirreling I looked toward the farmland adjacent to the park and realized whoever was the first guy to charge people for the fun time of working on a farm and picking from a tree gawddamn cherries was a damn genius.
Mind you, I LOVE cherries - but you can pull up, park and grab a box of super awesome delicious cherries.
Or, for the same price, you can drag your 85 year old mother-in-law out to the cherry trees where she can climb up the ladders (while you hold it steady, of course).
Once you pick enough cherries to fill one of those terrible CVS bags (you know, like the kind they were out of at the CVS in ‘that other post’) they’ll weigh it to make sure it doesn’t exceed the 4 pound box or whatever.
Same price.

When I got home I had inadvertently interrupted a mama hawk who had stashed one of those annoying blue jay in our yard.
Hopefully she comes back to get it later…
