The ‘other’ hub cap arrived today…

Nice. I lost a beauty ring on my Spur II several years ago. I found found a perfect set of four cheap (like $100) on the Bay. Replaced the missing one, kept a spare, and sold the other two on the Bay for $200 each.
Spur II has aluminum wheels with new hubcaps and beauty rims. The beauty rims are held to the rim with plastic "clips" with a metal clamp. I found a source for the "clips" and doubled down on them on each rims adhering each with super adhesive in addition to the clamp.
Smaht!
In this case the wheel cover is great - but the to-be-painted trim ring is crap. Bent, with rust.
So, Plan C includes polishing up the less-good wheel cover with a paintable trim ring, and have just ordered a NOS primed trim ring for this better-hubcap.
Once I have the less-good one polished (may do it myself) and have the two trim rings painted & striped with dual fine-lines then I’ll removed the worst-condition of the remaining 3 and set it aside as a spare.
Then the two most-recently-refurbished wheel covers will go on the same side of the car - so any mismatch in polishing against the others should go largely unnoticed.
I haven’t decided if I will use any adhesive…
A little bit certainly couldn’t hurt
