Some seldom seen watches popping up today.

Confirmed: “rubber” parts from 45 years ago are “plastic” parts today. And a pretty damn brittle plastic, too, it turns out. Ready to shatter...

The irony being this critical hose is needed to pass smog compliance - which I hope it will be its last test of a 1976 chassis. That is, if (IF) CA AB220 passes {which seeks to move the exemption cut-off from 1975 to vehicles made before 1983}.

But, in the meantime, I gotta clear the hurdle and this specific hose is über difficult to source... I seemed to have grabbed the last NOS piece. Albeit at a ridiculously extortionate price before the seller would release their painful grasp upon my most sensitive shorthairs.

The band, with a Ti clasp and subtle rally-style perforated leather, is a LIE!
