Let's hear some more about that Islander bbattle besides the fact you're wearing it on the wrong wrist @!<$

The watch feels nice, fits my 7.25" wrists; the crown guards do their job without being huge. The bezel is unidirectional and not easily moved by accident. The bracelet links have threaded pins, the clasp has three micro adjustment spots and I believe the watch came with a half link or two.

The dial color is a matte black that in bright light looks dark blue on the chapter ring.

The Day is in English in the am, French in the pm.

I screwed that pin in tight, it holds the clasp onto the bracelet.

Nice! So, the day changes over at noon and midnight? That’s kinda nutty in an interesting way.

On that threaded “spring bar without a spring” or non-collar-&-pin “bracelet connecting screw”:

A watchmaker once told me if the bracelet screw keeps coming loose or otherwise backs out, apply a particularly-super-extra-small amount of ‘Loctite’ on the tiny threads.

Speaking of dreamy dials.

Above all things, Seiko dials are amazing. They can't align a bezel to save their asses but damn, they make a fine dial.

As far as the Islander, that's not supposed to do that with the day. Let Marc know. Looks great, though.

And if you use Loctite, go with blue. If you use red Loctite that screw is going to be a permanent part of the link. You'll never get enough torque with that small a screw head to break red Loctite.

Handsome pup, Majt.
