Damage-assessment repeat:
Yesterday, I gave my daughter a high-five and sent this thing flying... bounced off her hip and landed crystal-down onto the cold heartless tile... and I’ll be damned if the domed sapphire didn’t shrug it off without a mark.

It seems some dumbass may have last used this strap on a Seiko diver - with a big ass springbar. Damn that guy. I hear he’s handsome, though.

It looked like the ends had seated into the lug holes, but it was a fake out! The diameter was too large to properly fit... which is why it went flying.

Two spring bars later - now fixed.

Yes, indeed. A four foot drop onto tile is what totaled my first Rolex. Sapphire shards driven through the dial, into the movement. That damned crystal EXPLODED.
