Zero West H1 Hurricane

Recovered, recast, reinvented: The Zero West H1 Hurricane encapsulates another moment in British aviation history

Racing, diving, and pilot’s watches are the three pillars of the sports watch category. There is a lot of demand for these kinds of watches, and as a result there is a saturation of novelties in a familiar format. Zero West, however, takes things to the next level. Their watches are living mementos of history, each design the true embodiment of aviation, marine, and automotive aesthetics. Zero West creations stand out with their distinct case profiles and incorporation of historically important salvaged materials that help create a rich backstory for each piece. This is where their motto “recovered, recast, reinvented” comes into play, and brand founders Andrew Brabyn and Graham Collins pride themselves on tying each collection into British heritage and history. Their latest creation, the Zero West H1 Hurricane, pays homage to the MKI Hawker Hurricane World War II plane, not only by building a watch around its aesthetic, but by incorporating an actual piece of one the battle-flown planes.

I was amazed at the number of guys in the military who couldnt march because they didnt know their left from their right. This watch is for them and probably no one else.

I didnt get that it was based on a slip/turn indicator until they told me. Not good.

I can't tell the degree of cheek here...

My left hand makes an L. I've heard 15% to as high as 20% of the population don't instinctively know left from right. I was quite happy when I first heard that. My brain typically works quite well and it always frustrated me a bit that something seemingly simple wasn't obvious.

Oh, and I do not dig that watch.
Is it safe?

No disrespect intended. How are you with knowing where you are while driving? MY GF goes around the block and doesnt know if she should turn left or right. Ive wondered if there is any correlation.

This 'watch artifact' would have been better off unclaimed, stagnant, dead...

Yep ^

This article lost me with..... "Zero West, however, takes things to the next level".
I did however scrolled down to see what their next level in-house movement was all about...................
