YEMA Navygraf Marine Nationale

Post by koimaster » May 9th 2021, 6:03pm

The French Navy, or “Marine Nationale”, has been sailing the seven seas since 1626 making it one of the oldest naval forces in the world. When a watch fan hears the words “Marine Nationale” they think of watches and watch straps instead of frigates. In the recent past, members of the French Navy used sturdy watches from brands like Tudor, Doxa, and Longines. These are generally collectible watches nowadays with a traceable and detailed history. The YEMA Navygraf Marine Nationale GMT Limited Edition watch is not a replica of a vintage YEMA. The newest Navygraf marks the start of YEMA’s military career since the company is now, for the first time in its history, an official partner of the French Navy, joining the ranks of the aforementioned watches. The new watch is also a bit of an homage to a colorful and diverse history.

I'm a bit over dive watches in general but this one looks good. I really like the Yema style, the way the case looks like a barrel quite separate from the lugs. Nice handset, sapphire bezel is classy. Price seems very reasonable as well. I'd wear this.

Official partner of the French Air Force since the 1970s, YEMA is now also an official partner of the French Navy (Marine nationale). The new Navygraf x Marine nationale (MN) collection has been jointly designed (milspec) to be able to withstand the conditions under which the Navy personnel operate.

The launch collection consists of four pieces – two time-only models (one automatic, the other quartz), a limited edition GMT, and a quartz model targeted at women. The watches all feature the official Marine nationale blue and their logo at 6 o’clock, and the crown is decorated with their crest as well. They will come in a Marine nationale travel box and some include an additional official Marine Nationale Nageur de Combat style parachute elastic strap.
