I'm a sucker for nostalgia. (and just about everything else)

Post by foghorn » September 17th 2019, 4:04pm

I had one of these (or something very similar) back in the good old, drug infused days. When the reissues were initally available a while back I was too late and missed out. I think they were sold out in about 2 hours. I was on the email wait list and earlier this week I was notified that they were back in stock. This time I got lucky and ordered early , because once again they were gone in a flash. These special reissues Timex put out are 10 steps above their "regular" models. (which are pretty fucking good dammit!) It has a quick set date-but the day can only be set by going round and round-but no big deal. It also has the dreaded integrated bracelet, but the period OEM is too fucking cool to change anyway.
Mark well the easy access battery compartment-just like the olden daze.

I see Timex sold out again and then reloaded. My first watch was a Timex dive style at age 12 ‘cause I wanted to be like Mike Nelson on SEA HUNT. Enjoy.

That's one nice Timex there, Foggy.

It's been raining Timexes here recently, no?

Good on Timex. A nice watch, well styled, affordable, classic looking. So people want them.

Refreshing.

Got the email, hesitated and missed out on the restock.

Back in stock yet again!
Sonofabitch! Missed it again. Damnit, Timex.
