This unique watch was designed by Chinese artist Yiran Huang (黄以然) as a piece of wearable artwork.

The design encapsulates the emotions surrounding Yiran’s personal daydreams and the effect daydreaming has on time.

The time on Lucid Dreams is beautifully integrated into the design:
•To find the minutes you look to the pointing fingers.
•To read the hour you look at the number cradled by the hands and fingers.

As time passes the hands and hair form a shifting nest above the head.

The Lucid dreams watch is limited to just 100 pieces worldwide. It was hand-drawn by Yiran and then we printed and assembled each watch by hand in London.

Yiran explains her inspiration for the design:

“daydreaming creates a sort of protective bubble around you - to others it can be seen as you’re holding them at distance, but I think of it more as creating a safe space.

Getting lost in your daydreams is a magical experience that you create, it’s your own version of the world, that you experience in your own time.

I think daydreaming can protect you from difficult times. During this year I’ve had a nightmare with all my work deadlines, but I feel I have been supported by the accumulated power of all my years of daily daydreaming."

It's not often that somebody can design a wartche that is both really fucking ugly and Wagnerianly ghey at the same time.

I find it difficult to express , in words, the degree to which this fucking watch should be fucked.

Time to let slip them pooches of war...

This unique watch was designed by Chinese artist Yiran Huang (黄以然) as a piece of wearable artwork shit.

There, fixed it for you.

The design encapsulates the emotions surrounding Yiran’s personal daydreams and the effect daydreaming has on time.

I think it's LSD rather than daydreams.

The time on Lucid Dreams is beautifully integrated into the design

It's so integrated into it, that I can't read it at all. It's, like, 8:something?

To find the minutes you look to the pointing fingers.
To read the hour you look at the number cradled by the hands and fingers.

That makes things so much clearer. From unbelievably unclear to pretty fucking unclear.

As time passes the hands and hair form a shifting nest above the head.

Which means that as time passess, this whole fucking mess becomes even more of a fucking mess.

Well, I can't disagree with her. But a certain Colonel Thomas Edward Lawrence, CB, DSO put it better:

"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible."

And you're spot on, Lawrence of Arabia! Looks like her daydreaming is dangerous, if it made it possible to create such a revolting and ghey tymepeice.

Aaaarggghhhhh.
