Well I got a new Orient Star from Amazon Japan today. Orient Star are very hard to find in the land down under, with the closest distributor located in Singapore and not very competitively priced. I saw this while browsing Amazon the other day and for the price from Japan was too good to pass up. Pulled the trigger which is far too easy on Amazon and today she turned up. The Orient Star RE-AU0001S.

This is one of the classic line with gold toned case, 38.7MM size, Breguet style hands and dial , sapphire crystal, see through case back showing the lovely movement inside and 50 M water resistant.

Quite a stunning piece IMHO. Orient Star do classic watches very well.

I need to calm down a bit, just had a big argument over on the WUS Aussie forum with a guy who uses the handle Timely Behaviour who is one of Archie Luxury's Livestream managers and gets paid by Archie to help him with his channel. It disintegrated and I left WUS after over 30 years.

Archie is still around and has moved to a live-streaming platform on Youtube. He still posts individual posts sporadically but his latest one was a doozy. A guy who is dying paid Archie $80 to come and visit him for lunch. Archie did and skited about out on his channel, claiming that he had provided paid advice to this young guy for quite a while. I suggested maybe he should not be taking money from a dying guy.
