Excellent dive watch, and probably my next purchase.

It would be replacing my Sat diver, so not too big for that, and I don't wear bracelets.

It looks a lot better finished than the M-Force series.

It ain't. It's about on par with the other M-Force stuff; not nearly as good as the Revolver, and needless to say, not even on the same planet as the OS300. It pains me to say all this, because this could have been the new Revolver; there are few bigger Orient fanbois than me, but I calls 'em as I sees 'em.

^^^^ This conjurer person doesn't know WTF he is talking about

I personally have one, this one - next to the sammy

Triton-Samurai1.JPG

 Actually I got this from him

He is correct about the crown - not the easiest screw down crown to engage, could be the crown tube or the crown threads or maybe how they all are.

I have the same crown issue with my Citizen 2100 titanium though.

Bracelet is not the best, not the worst - have been looking for a replacement from strapcode - like their engineer or super jubilee - haven't come across one yet.

The watch IMO is NOT worth to MSRP of 695, nor would I pay the price Long Island is asking for them ~399.00

I would put them in the 250-300 price range.

I know this will be, most likely, an unpopular statement but I would put my Lum-Tecs above this watch in overall terms of fit and finish, quality and overall dollar value.

To each their own.

(BTW I really like the Triton - thanks John! :D )

You're welcome, Mark!

Apparently, from what I've read the crown issue is not endemic across all Tritons shipped; I've seen plenty of reports (many of them FS listings) where the crown issue is addressed and thought not to be a problem with that particular watch. I emailed Marc at LIW (where I got the Triton) asking him about the crown issues, and he responded PDQ, telling me I should send the watch back to Orient Japan if I was unhappy with it--not exactly the response I was hoping for, given Marc's reputation for CS, but it kind of suggested that I wasn't the only customer of his who was unhappy with the crown.

In a way, it's heartening that Orient didn't ship a ton of Tritons with this very issue, indicating that they had poorly designed the fucking thing. On the other hand, if there were enough Tritons shipped with the issue, they shouldn't have released them at all until they were all inspected and passed.
