I'll wait until it's an entire watch before I form an opinion. But ,generally, I find kickstarter projects to be insipid pipe dreams started by clueless millenials with no experience in watchmaking. Even the ones with , like, a dial and a movement and maybe even a strap attached.
With that being said...................How do you like my new car???

Too thick.
That's what she said.

And the watch, no chance that chunky wanna-be wartch will ever get funded.

It's thick and bronze, so I already don't like it, but I'll wait for the pics of the complete watch, and then I'll be able to hate it.

I'd like mine filled with creamy, sweet marzipan, please. It's versatile, and it runs within 1 to 2 hours in the colon.

In all seriousness - show the watch before you try to sell it? This is like wiping, then taking a dump.

Would have better luck selling this shit as an alternative, portable cereal bowl.

The case is 16mm thick because is design for Eta 7750 movement.Lug to Lug 49mm,22mm strap, sapphire glass with ar coating, ceramic insert with Bgw9 luminous.I will have 316l steel, and black dlc versions.
Perhaps for once I can get my jollies out of playing the advocatus diaboli... Got to enjoy a case literally so hollow.

I might not necessarily hate the steel version, but still, with just the case to look at, I can't really like or hate it in advance.

The problem here seems to be the case back design, which here appears to be rather unthoughtful - the surface that makes contact with the wrist is small, and sits on a high dome. This shifts the centre of gravity up, making the bloody thing top-heavy. On top of that, here you've got a broad, heavy rotating bezel, and that's seasoned with lugs floating well above the level of the case back. So, that's not even a matter of the dimensions and mass separately, it's a matter of how the mass is distributed within the dimensions.

From what I'm seeing in the pictures, the case is supposed to have a WR rating of 300m. Frankly, this is somewhat redundant, in spite of being popular. Then there's the bezel, which without being fully indexed isn't the height of usefulness, and without even the first 15 minutes indexed, I'd find it useless even in the kitchen.

I do look forward to seeing the complete thing. That's because not hating a Kickstarter project is rarely the case with me, and I do enjoy being positively suprised, or - bottom line - disappointed by not being able to dislike what was so promising as a potentially loathsome material worthy of a fine rant. And if I will hate what I see, I'll get even more jollies out of writing the fine rant, a rant roasting it to fucking crumpets.
I always hope for the best. Experience, unfortunately, has taught me to expect the worst.

And I enjoy reading a fine rant, even if no table legs were harmed in said rant.

Appreciating fine watch design seems similar to enjoying fine wine or spirits. While I know what I like, until somebody else describes it, I can't find the right words.

I looked at that case and said, "Damn! that is one chunky monkey." MK puts a much finer point to it and provides the details that drew me to this site in the first place. thanks!

I have a couple of 7750/7751 watches, none needed that bulbous of a case back.
Yep. As I've said, it's the silliest part of this case. All it'd take to make this case manageable is redesigning the flanks to reposition the threaded case back slot, and then use a back with a minimal dome to it - or even a completely flat, closed back.
