The Shore Projects Automatic Collection

Post by koimaster » March 29th 2019, 10:53am

Affordable, self-powered watches designed in Britain. The Project 4 range was made in the style of the great 1960s dive watches.

Shore Projects is an established British watch brand that draws inspiration from the natural beauty and fun of our coastline.

We hold a deep passion for high quality, uniquely designed watches.

After several award-winning years producing quartz watches worldwide, we are excited to release a self-powered automatic range.

We believe that people should be able to purchase quality products at a price that truly represents what they pay for.

That’s why we’ve cut out the usual retail markup and we’re offering these watches directly to you. The typical price of a watch with an equivalent movement would be £750 and above, and our watches are priced at over 50% less.

We have worked in collaboration with the movement specialist Miyota to incorporate their 9015 model. These contain 24 jewels, a power reserve of 42 hours and feature Miyota's patented Parashock Technology which ensures the movement is protected if the watch is dropped.

Switching to the aesthetic the Shore Projects branded, gold contrasting semi-lunar rotor plate can be seen through the crystal sapphire reverse casing.

Confusing. How come they're touting a 9015, but the videos show wartches ticking like a quartz?
WatchGeeks will go down in watch forum history as the worst watch related site that existed. Trolls, threats, bannings, and owners and sponsors talking out of their collective asses to fleece people out of hard earned money. - Koimaster

. Oh, those ones? Thooose ones are the other ones. The right ones look just like these ones, but smoooth you betcha. If you're making a run of autos, what's with the quartz? Is that the watch customers get with an auto- is it a quartz?

Regardless of the potential for sheistyness, even if the discrepency is the discharge of ineptitudenal amateurism, it is a screaming harbinger of caution begging consumers to click on as an inquiry isn't worth the time in this instance, irregardless.

How the fuck do any of these poor bastards stand a chance with us around? T eagle-eye B, conj, MTK, svaglic, bobbee, fog, koi and so on and so forth. Not a fucking chance.

This joint is like the Interpol of horology.

Poor bastards.

Well, it only scores 8 Ds on the Hawk douchbag-o-meter which isn't bad.

But this begs for a tsunami of WTFs:
Outer Casing: Silver plated, marine grade 316L stainless steel

The first WTF of course involves why the fuck anyone would want to - silver is typically used where lubricity is a big deal in high temp fasteners and it's a bitch to apply to stainless without using cyanide compounds or specialty strikes.

Given the cost and it's advantages in a watch case (pretty much nil) I'm pretty sure it's a waste of time to wonder about the "hows" or "whys" and simply dismiss it as raging bullshit.
And the fact I'm still living rent free in his head makes me grin and giggle.
