Not sure about the watches, but the Vintage Sterling Silver Multi Semi Brooch would look good on Toby.
Already got one. But I thought it is a belt buckle.

The last time I saw shit that bad I was prepping for a colonoscopy.
I know, but there is an old Wolbrook that looks decent in a lot and a couple of old chronographs that could have an old Valjoux, Landeron or Venus movement. Some watches are cheap and they could be good to wear or used for hard to find parts.
In memory of TB/Phfluff, since he isn’t here to continue to give his praise, I will share it for him.

Although the 45 lb grab bag at GW Memphis was mighty tempting.

^^Exactly!! That’s ‘treasure hunting’, damn it!

You pays your moneys and takes your chances…. but keep in mind most of the phone-toting public think a watch stops because the battery has gone dead.

So, those lots will typically have a tremendous amount of crap…. but within that crap you may find something special…. My buddy picked up a gold Universal Genéve in a bag of crap.

That really is the gold standard, but the fact that he did find a gem within crap always has me do a double take at those 15 pound mystery boxes full of forlorn watches.
