People don't really purchase this brand at so-called retail do they?? If so, they are truly suckers.
I mean, this Christopher Ward micro brand company sells watches 2-3 times a year, each year, at 50% off (or more). ... and at a SPECIAL sale you better jump on.

Would be akin to purchasing a new house from a builder for $700k............ and three neighbor purchasing the exact same new house for a discounted $350k . Buyer #1 should have at least torched the paper money for some augmented housing heat..

Christopher Ward wartch company..... I put them in the same category as those Invicta Watch Group wartches, marketing strategy of shopping networks to the watch buying simps.

10 years ago they were a far better company IMHO. Not sure I would compare them to invicta at this point but similar to Zeno in that the majority of the buyers of the brand belong to a company sponsored forum similar to the now very dead watchgeeks forum. Zeno has TZ-UK but I do not think I have ever seen a discounted sale similar in scope to CW.

They make great watches but they are overpriced. Even at sale price, the $750 watches are worth around $450-$500 in my experience vs what other brands offer.

Wouldn't buy one at MSRP because everyone knows they offer the sales.

A better and more respectable business model would be a lower everyday price, in my opinion.

They are leagues above Inshita in quality so that's a bullshit trollish comparison.

Their original pricing model was (is?) cost x 3.

In keeping with the brands uniquely transparent pricing model, which marks up cost prices x 3 to arrive at the selling price...

The 3X cost thing would be fair if one was buying from an AD. Since CW sells (AFAIK) direct, this seems really high.

Psssst-
No-one was comparing quality wise your forum brand with Invicta. The comparison is the marketing strategy.

Rabid defenders of forum watches today is quite reminiscent of forum watch defenders from days gone by........
